Haapsalust pärit režissööri Janno Jürgensi lühimängufilm “Distants” valiti Šveitsis toimuva maineka Locarno filmifestivali rahvusvahelisse lühimängufilmide võistlusprogrammi “Pardi di Domani”.
Festival toimub 1.-11. augustini. Locarno filmifestival, mis sai alguse 1946. aastal, on prestiižilt Cannes’i ja Veneetsia järel kolmas A-klassi filmifestival Euroopas. Seni on festivalil osalenud vaid üks eesti film.
“Distants” räägib loo kalaretkele suundunud isast ja pojast, kes kohtuvad merele laskunud udus millegi ebamaisega. Filmi peaosades on Indrek Ojari ja Väino Laes.
Režissöör Janno Jürgens on pärit Haapsalust. Tänavu lõpetas ta Balti Filmi- ja Meediakooli režii eriala ning on filminud mitmeid auhinnatud lühifilme.
Filmi produtsendiks on Kristjan Pütsep, operaatoriks Mart Raun, kunstikuks Matis Mäesalu, stsenaariumi kirjutasid Janno Jürgens ja Anti Naulainen. Filmi tootis OÜ Alasti Kino. Filmi kestus on 24. minutit.
