17.–19. veebruaril toimuval Eesti suurimal siseturismimessil Tourest on Haapsalu ja Läänemaa näituseala kujundatud rannarootsi võtmes.
„Oleme rannamaa ning põliste rannarootslaste maa, miljonite veelindude maa, väga mitmekülgse looduse ning rikka kultuuripärandi ja huvitavate kultuurisündmustega maa. Tasub meenutada, et Lääne maakond on ainuüksi oma mandriosa rannajoonega selgelt liidrite seas ning kui saarte hulk veel juurde arvutada, on see ligi 630 km pikkune teekond,“ ütles MTÜ Läänemaa Turism projektijuht Janika Savi.
Maakonna messipinnal annab miljööd edasi Vormsi vallavanema kaasabil kujundatud mereline taustapilt, kus on taglastatud rannarootslaste põline ruupa, vanad laevatünnid ja muud merendusega haakuvad detailid. Igal külastajal on võimalus läbi seinale kuvatava elava pildi saada aimu Läänemaast, meie maakonna pealinnast ning tegutsevatest hakkajatest turismiettevõtjatest.
Messi kaaseksponendiks on Iloni Imedemaa, kes organiseerib laste põnevaid tegemisi. Messil on esindatud puulaevaselts Vikan, Roosta Puhkeküla, Vormsi saar, Mõhk ja Tölpa kajakimatkad ning Uuskalda spordi- ja puhkeküla.
Haapsalu ja Läänemaa pakuvad messikülastajatele värskendatud trükiseid, mis tutvustavad piirkonda kui kultuuriturismi sihtkohta. Olemas on uus linna ja maakonna kaart ning ettevõtjate pakkumised kevad-suviseks hooajaks.
Tourest toimub tänavu 21. korda. Eelmisel aastal külastas messi 20 853 inimest. Mess toimub Eesti Näituste messikeskuses Pirital.
