Riho Luuse kujundatud margi trükiarv on 50 000 eksemplari.
Karuse kirik on ehitatud 13. sajandil kindluskirikuna ja on üks vanimaid Lääne–Eesti kirikuid. Kiriku ehitusmeistriks peetakse ordumeister Otto von Lutterbergi, kes langes lahingus leedulaste vastu Karuse lähedal Suure väina jääl 1270. aasta lahingus ja on arvatavalt ka kirikusse maetud.
Varem on Läänemaa kirikutest postmargile jõudnud Haapsalu toomkirik 1993. aasta jõulumargina ja samal aastal ka Haapsalu piiskopilinnus.
